“Alan loves the craft of on-camera acting and it shows in the way he works with students. His passion – coupled with his professionalism, talent and expertise – makes him the ideal teacher for beginners and veterans alike.
He’s also a kind mentor who cares greatly about his students’ development and well-being. I remember his classes fondly, and I learned a great deal from them. When I stepped in front of a camera after that, I did so with confidence thanks to Alan’s guidance.”

‘“I remember seeing in one of the newspapers an advertisement for Alan Dysert’s acting classes. Acting has always been a love and hobby of mine, so I quickly signed up. I was very pleased when I walked into the classroom. Alan is a wonderful guy and teacher. Between the fellow actors and Alan it was a great, safe environment to tap into the craft of acting. I experienced a teacher who encouraged me in my efforts. He is someone who provides feedback, without putting his students down. That is very important to students who want to grow and learn. “
“Not even realizing it, my co-workers noticed a positive change in my confidence that took place while studying with Alan. About a year later, I decided to head out to Los Angeles and give “it” a shot. Within months of being a background actor, AKA an Extra, I was able to join SAG. Shortly after that, I landed a stand-in job on Gilmore Girls. I’ve been working on this show for the last 7 seasons. During the course of that time, I have been given three “5 & Under” roles on the show. Alan and his class built up the passion and paved the path for me to pursuit a life in Hollywood. Regardless of how far I do or do not go in this industry, I’ll always be grateful for him and his class. “
